About Us
For the purpose of the Data Protection Legislation and this notice, we are the ‘data controller’. This means that we are responsible for deciding how we hold and use personal data about you. We are required under the Data Protection Legislation to notify you of the information contained in this privacy notice.
We have appointed a Data Protection Officer. Our Data Protection Officer is our Data Protection Point of Contact and is responsible for assisting with enquiries in relation to this privacy notice or our treatment of your personal data.

How we get the personal information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
At the time you instructed us to act, you gave consent to our processing your personal data for the purposes listed in the next subparagraph.
The processing is necessary for the performance of our contract with you.
The processing is necessary for compliance with legal obligations to which we are subject (e.g. MLR 2017).

To use in the investigation and/or defence of potential complaints, disciplinary proceedings and legal proceedings.
To enable us to invoice you for our services and investigate/address any attendant fee disputes that may have arisen.
To contact you about other services we provide which may be of interest to you if you have consented to us doing so.

How we store your personal information
Your personal information will be securely stored in accordance with GDPR, DPA 2018 and the Association of Accounting Technicians requirements and guidelines.
We will only retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it is collected.
When assessing what retention period is appropriate for your personal data, we take into consideration:
the requirements of our business and the services provided;
any statutory or legal obligations;
the purposes for which we originally collected the personal data;
the lawful grounds on which we based our processing;

Transfers of personal data outside the EEA
Transfer arrangements have been made with international organisations in the US and Australia only. Adequate safeguards have been implemented with these organisations. Transfer arrangements are also in place with adequately protected countries, New Zealand, Canada. Data is otherwise processed in EEA countries.

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.

Where you have consented to our processing of your personal data, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Please inform us immediately if you wish to withdraw your consent.
